Halloween at The Dicky
Spooky season is apon us. Last years party was such a success, we just had to do it again.
Scarecrow will be performing live , the pub will be kitted out with all things spooky and ofcourse; fancy dress is encouraged!
Join us, if you're brave enough.......
Coming soon...
Plans are in the making to launch The Dicky 'Supper Club' in the new year.
One menu, no choice and limited availability. Four dates and menu's will be published monthly.
A bar snacks menu will follow, think ploughmans platters and proper sausage roll's, that can be enjoyed casually at the bar or sat in the new 'landlords lounge'.
Excluding The Dicky Supper club, there will be no reservations. Ensuring this pub remains a pub!

Cask Ales
Cask ale has a loyal following at The Royal Oak. The three traditional hand pulls allow for us to offer a range of cask ales, offering something for everyone.
Regular casks avialable at The Dicky include; Greene King Abbot & IPA, Timothy Taylor Bolt maker and Landlord, Marston's Pedigree, Wainwright Wanderer to name afew.
As a rule of thumb you'll always have three hand pulled casks to chose from.
Barrels arent double stacked, meaning somthing different is always following.
Along with options available through Admiral Taverns, The Dicky benefits from its access to the SIBA ordering platform, which provides more variety and local options.
Negotiations are underway regarding the possability of a 'free of tie' hand pump, which would further increase the range of cask availble.

Whats new?
Summer 2025
Over a year in.....
The pub is now performing much better, lost regulars have returned and The Dicky is said to have returned to its former place, as a much loved, traditional pub.
New managment...
Tom Brown has taken over management of The Royal Oak. The pub has been given a fresh lick of paint and a spring clean.
A food offering is planned in the coming months.
Artwork....
The artwork throughout the pub is courtesy of Catalina Carvajal. A Suffolk based illustrator whose art brings colour and interest to the walls of the pub.
Beer Garden....
We've mowed, pruned & weeded.
By the summer we hope to have the Pétanque pitch fully operational.
