The Royal Oak boasts extensive outdoor space aswell as a small private room that will be undergoing restoration & will be open to customers and available for private hire.
Private Hire
The Dicky is a proper pub and focal point of the community, with this in mind the pub will always be open to its regulars.
If you are interested in holding an event at The Dicky we do however boast some great spaces that my accomodate your needs.
The Bar
Once dark and stained with cigarette smoke, The Dicky bar is now light and welcoming.
Regulars jostle for space at this prime spot in the pub.
No bar stools here as space is limited and a true meeting point of the community.
The Garden
Often regaled as one of Suffolks hidden gems, The Dicky owes this partly to its extensive beer garden.
Plenty of space, filled with apple, walnut and fig trees, rose bush's and not forgetting the pétanque pitch.
Throughout the year the garden is a great spot to grab a drink.
The Landlord's Lounge
The recent refurbishment of The Dicky focussed on both exterior renovations & opening up previously unused space within the pub.
The Landlords Lounge is a great new space that regulars are embracing as the sort after spot in the pub.
As you step down into what once was the landlords private quarters, the ceiling lowers, making this space feel in keeping with the rest of the pub. A large bay window provides a great view to the garden and floods the room with natural light.
You can even take advantage of the rooms serving hatch direct to the bar.
